Vladimir Kagan 1970's Serpentine Cloud sofa newly re-upholstered in a stunning golden velvet with brass legs and lucite support featuring Kagan's smooth, sensuous lines with the unparalleled flair his designs were so known for. This stunning 1970' original piece has been newly re-upholstered in a stunning golden velvet by Maharam, incorporating new foam insert allowing for perfect comfort. The lucite support and brass legs have been restored to their finest to enhance their beauty and making this 1970's original piece look like new without compromising its original design and details.
Numbered and signed on plaque stating " A certified original design Vladimir Kagan".

From Russian descent, Kagan lived in Germany before moving to New York in 1938. After studying architecture at Columbia University and only 22 years old, Kagan opened his design firm and made a name for himslef launching his long, low and sinuous Serpentine sofa. The function was to make it comfortable,” he once commented. “I created what I called vessels for the human body.”
