Elegant tub chairs attributed to a 1937 Model by Gio Ponti. The scooped out seat and high backed oblique form is typical of Gio Ponti's design's of the 30's featuring tapered slightly outreaching legs in brass. These charming chairs have been completely reupholstered in Gray Velvet by Dedar, Italy. Their proportion is ideal for a smaller scale seating area while still offering a comfortable firm seat with ones arms resting on its sloping sides.

An architect, a designer and an artist, Gio Ponti (Milano 1891-1979) entered into partnership with Emilio Lancia and Mino Fiocchi after graduating in 1091 and six years later founded Il Labirinto in order to produce high-quality furniture and objects. In 1957 he designed the super-celebrated Superleggera chair for Cassina, the crowning achievement of a long and fruitful working association
